Here is a strange one. Using Windows Live Messenger my webcam will work with some friends but not with others, I get "Messenger is not available right now. Please try again later. (0x80ee000c)". This happens with only 2 of my friends all the others work fine. My Router is a Draytek 2800 and UPnP is enabled. I have disabled to QoS Service. The webcam works in all other applications. I have checked the router logs and there is nothing shown there I am running Windows 7 (HP ver). Can anyone help?

Sign in error in Windows Live Messenger Beta

Keep getting error 80048862, cannot connect to authentication server. My Windows Live Mail is OK and Windows Photo Gallery is ok too, but all the rest get that error. Recently, when I use an emoticon in a conversation window, it does not get displayed graphically, only with letters/symbols, e.g., (K) for the "kiss" emoticon. Someone has apparently miss-typed their cell phone number into their account, because I am getting IMs everyday for (1) Concord CA Weather (I do not live there) and (2) Horoscope for Leo (which I not only do not believe in, but this is not even my "sign." webcam not working on WINDOWS LIVE MESSENGER

i need help with my webcam. It works fine when i check it on windows movie maker but shows "We couldn't start your camera device. Remote Assistance Script

I am dealing with a person who is technically challenged and it is a major effort to get this person to send me the password so I can take control of their machine. Both systems are running W7 Home Premium and Windows Live Messenger. Remote assistance works great once I get this person to do the copy/paste/send of the generated password. It seems that this is a little complex for the novice user. Has somebody created a script or macro or something that will handle all the stuff for the person requesting assistance? Live Messenger 2009 chat session drops

I've had several users report that they are in a chat session with someone going back and forth. They see them typing and then for no reason the chat session closes on the receiving party. Outgoing audio cuts out after 5mins - every time

I have had problem with latest version of Live Messenger ever since the upgrade was forced on us all. Removing and reinstalling has made no difference at all and have followed all the suggestions of the Messenger Support team to no avail. Alerts and Sounds do not play on Windows 7 KN x64

I can not get the sounds for windows messenger to play. They are enabled in tool->Sounds but they do not play even if I hit the "play" button nothing happens. When I go to Audio and Video Setup the "Test" sound plays find. I have set Messenger to run in XP SP3 compatibility mode to get it off of my taskbar.

Import encrypted Windows Live Contacts?

Hi, I recently changed computers and have my contacts saved in a file that I put on a pen drive for transfer. I no longer want to use the Windows Live Messenger ID that I used before, but would like to import those contacts to my new ID. Contacts not Displayed in Main Window

I did a fresh install of Windows XP Pro SP3. I just installed Windows Live Mail and Live Messenger. In Messenger my contacts are not displayed in the main window. Ok, I am using WLM2009 now also .. and not much to my surprise all kinds of things are there that are totally useless for me. Like Windows Live Call ... Uxcore.dll named curse!!

Gentlemen.. I have tried EVERY single thing to solve that uxcore.dll error in Windows Live Messenger. -I unistalled and installed WLM. At the bottom of messenger above the banner ads, there is a "what's new" section that displays my contacts and a note, e.g. john - ran 10 miles today, mary - has a new display picture, ... How do I see all the notes that's related to john without sitting and waiting for them to show up? If I click on the name which is a link, it displays the person's live.com profile but the notes and new profile photo which I want to see are nowhere to be found.
