Outbox message cannot be sent
I have an address list of less than 30 people. Each time I use the list to
send a mail message it will not leave the inbox. The message that comes up
is as follows: The message could not be sent. The authentication setting
might not be correct for your outgoing e-mail [SMTP] server. For help solving
this problem, go to Help, search for "Troubleshoot Windows Live Mail", and
read the "I'm having problems sending e-mail" section. If you need help
determining the proper server settings, please contact your e-mail service
provider.
The rejected e-mail address was 'debby.lyles@mhbh.otg'.
Subject 'Test of message'
Server Error: 450
Server Response: 450 4.1.8 - Domain of recipient does not resolve [R0309001]
Server: 'smtp-server.gt.rr.com'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC79
Protocol: SMTP
Port: 25
Secure(SSL): No
All my other message go out fine. I used same list on previous email
(outllook) and never had the problem. I have individually sent the message
to all contacts and had no problem. Can you please assist me.

Is the address for Debby Lyles correct?
Should the last 3 letters be "org" and not "otg"?
I am not aware of any domain with the extension "otg".

otg is a typo... org? You can Google Debbie's email address at the hospital.

It must be a widespread typo. mhbh.otg in IE8's address bar using OpenDNS took me to mhbh.org. Similarly:
/Pinging mhbh.otg [67.215.65.132] with 32 bytes of data:/
/Reply from 67.215.65.132: bytes=32 time=430ms TTL=51/
Kudos to the MHBH sysadmin for setting up these traps; he just has to adjust a few entries here and there for his mail servers.

That's a - if you call it that, feature of OpenDNS that I personally
hate. If I mistype something, I'd rather know I mistyped it, not think
I typed it correctly.
Similarly:
>/Pinging mhbh.otg [67.215.65.132] with 32 bytes of data:/
>/Reply from 67.215.65.132: bytes=32 time=430ms TTL=51/
That's Open DNS again.
>Kudos to the MHBH sysadmin for setting up these traps;
The MHBH sysadmin had nothing to do with it - well, technically he may
have, but that was all done on Open DNS's network. It won't work with
non OpenDNS servers.
>he just has to adjust a few entries here and there for his mail servers.
Umm... DNS doesn't work that way.
