Missing background sound upon receiving an email

  • Follow

I have received many emails from family and friends that have a background
sound (Attached and linked) but WLM never plays the sound file. OE always
played it, even if it was a part of the stationary that was applied. I have
noticed that WLM does not.

I have went through all the options/security ETC... with no luck. I have
also searched this group with no luck :-(

Any help here please would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Some would consider that a blessing. :-)
Silence is golden.

Works for me, as long as I'm not set to read messages in plain text
(Tools, Options, Read)

What type of background sound is it? MID, WAV, etc.?

What version of Windows are you using?

Open your audio volume application to check the volume settings. If a
Midi file, make sure that the Synthesizer volume is not muted or set too
low.
