Lost contact list

  • Follow

Having transferred to WLM from Windows Mail I was pleased to see the contacts
already listed in the lower lefthand side as they used to do in Outlook
Express. However, on clicking a 'down arrow' the list disappeared. I can of
course get the contacts via the icon at the bottom or via the 'GO' button but
how do I get the list back as before please?

WLMail does not display the contact list in the lower left corner.
It is easier to start typing a name or address and select from the list.
This has the advantage of including other email addresses besides the
default address.

I'm not sure what you were originally looking at. WLMail has a button at
the bottom left to open the Contacts List, but it does not have a Contacts
Pane like Outlook Express did.

When I open a new message window I just click the To button and choose the
recipients from that list. (Just a suggestion).

Hello Kamaka,

You can move the mouse pointer over the center of the top line where
those icons are at on the bottom to see the drop down arrow again.
Clicking on it will expand it again.

You can also press Alt+M, click on View (menu bar), Layout, then
uncheck "Use compact shortcuts" under the "Folder pane" section.

Hope this helps,
Shawn

Help, please. I'm going nuts here.
My contacts list with email addresses, etc has disappeared.
Why?
As far as I know, I've done nothing to provoke this.
Can anybody help, please?

The down arrow you clicked on is most likely the arrow that controls the display of the shortcuts in the lower left most folder
pane which toggles the options between an icon or an icon with text. All items(Mail, News, Contacts, Calendar, Feeds) as noted
above are just shortcuts.
