I cannot send email from the outbox.  Message says that SMTP may need some 
settings changed.  Where do I find these settings.

Try Tools-Accounts-Properties-Servers 

And what was the message?  If you provide complete details, 
someone might be able to tell yo:

a)    which settings need to be changed and
b)    how to do it

What is the part of your email address after the @?

Alt + T, Accounts, highlight the account, Properties, Servers tab
What do you have for smtp server?
