Downloading Screensavers.
Hi,
Not sure if I'm inquiring in the right area, but I have a question
concerning downloading screensavers. Are you aware if there is any site that
is safe for downloading screensavers, that is, is there any site for that
purpose that isn't loaded with spyware or any other such bugs? Any
suggestions you might have would be greatly appreciiated. Thank you.

Win-7: Why do JPG files appear in my music MP3 folders?
Why do many JPG images appear in my music MP3 folders? I sure don't want
them and have never asked for them. They are images of music albums, etc.
This is either a virus or it is M$FT again telling me how my Win 7/64
should operate. Maybe it is both.
I'd love to know why this happens, and how to turn of off, for good. I'm
guessing it happens if I use a M$ft music player. I try to never do that.
Thanks in advance,

can 32 bit driver /software work in 64 bit OS
Just joined this forum - so this may have been asked before
I am planning to upgrade from Vista 32 to Win7 64. There are several pieces
of software, e.g. Belkin Flip (KVM) that is only 32 bit.
Can I install this software on a 64 bit OS and will it work?
I plan before leaping into 64 bit world.

Searching for a XP64 driver
Hi there!
I want to install the HP DesignJet 600 plotter under Windows 7 64Bit.
Actually, the support of HP told me to install the 64Bit driver of XP (which
already is available within XP 64Bit), but the only driver they provide as
download is the driver for 32Bit and my Windows 7 refuses it (of course).
So I want to ask over here if someone having XP 64Bit could send me the
driver for the HP DesignJet 600 per mail or upload it somewhere. Would be
really great!
I would be really thankful for your help! :-)
Yours,
Rainer

Windows XP 64 - Blue Screen of Death - no event logging?
Hi all,
So I have set Event logging with small memory dump in XP 64 bit, in the
System Properties/Startup & Recovery, in order to diagnose a BSOD in
win32k.sys, page_fault_in_nonpaged_area.
Unfortunately, when my PC blue screens, no event is written, and no minidump
appears in the minidump folder.
I have tried this both with letting the PC reboot automatically, and without.
How do I ensure a minidump appears, and a system log entry is written?
Cheers
Vandervecken
PS I accidentally cross-posted this in the Media Center Edition page. Sorry!

Hello,
I just booted up my PC, explorer.exe didn't start, so I run it manually from

Sometimes during the PC usage explorer.exe will consume 50% of cpu (one

To me it seems like the updates that were installed 2 days ago might have

I hope for me and my pc the situation doesn't get worse from here on...

Viewing a folder alphabetically...
Hi guys! In past versions of windows, if I set a folder view alphabetically,
it broke the files down by individual letters of the alphabet. I have done
this in Windows 7, but instead, it's listing them in an A-H, I-P and Q-Z

possible in Windows 7? I checked my copy of "Windows 7 Inside Out" but no

Changing the System Restore Schedule
Is there a way to specify the schedule on which Windows 7 creates System
Restore Points? If I understand correctly, by default, it does it weekly,

important aspects of the schedule that I am worried about is what time of
day it creates the restore point, because if it does it at a time like

there a way to do this? Thanks.

Is Notepad in x64 version is a 64 Bit application?
I don't have a 64 Bit Windows version installed. Does anyone know if Notepad
that is included with Windows XP/Vista/2008/7 64-Bit editions is 32 or 64
Bits?
The reason I am asking is that I have developed a tool that fails if the
application that I try to automate is 64 bits, and Notepad is one of these
applications that this tool is used with. It works with 32 Bit application
only regardless of OS edition 32/64-Bits, but not with 64 Bits applications.
Thank you

Need a suggestion for a search phrase
In the last few days when Lightroom loads the page is white and slowly
fills in the details (Gui ?).
This is a similar look to a toolbar folder in which I have shortcuts to
my most often used software. The folder will be white at the initial use
of that toolbar and then the shortcut icons will display. For the rest
of the day that toolbar folder will pop open normally.
Even the Catalyst software will be white for a short time. I went there
today to see if any info was located in that ATI management software.
I browsed through the Lightroom forums and no one is reporting a similar

dual boot xp/xp64bit slow shut downs
I have dual booted XP Home Edition SP3 and XP64Bit Professional SP2. I have
done this before and quite soon I seem to have boot problems. The first
thing I noticed this time is slowness to shut down. I am quite good with
computers, probably an advanced user by now. I have a free Paragon Partition
Manager 10 installed and because I had used this application to make
installation restore backups I chose a setting of check boot after I made
the dual boot with XP64Bit.
I am wondering why the slowness to shut down is happening. Defragment and
Disk Cleanup Utilities are run regularly

OT Partially. Enabling two CD/DVD Drives for recording simultaneously
On my recently built XP 64 Bit machine I have two CD/DVD drives
installed. E & F. E did not always act right and did not always
record.
I determined the following:
Windows does not allow two CD/DVD drives to be enabled for recording
at the same time. With blank CDs in each drive Windows will allow
just one drive to be enabled for recording at the same time. Starting
with My Computer and Right clicking on the drive that is not enabled,
bringing up Device Manager and clicking on recording there is an
option to enable Recording. This enables Recording but disables
recording on the

Can not install Internet Explorer on this version of windows
On win xp pro 64-bit. I upgraded to Internet explorer 8 now when I attempt to
get updates I get "We need to open a 32-bit version of Internet Explorer",
but it fails.... I have attempted to download/install a new copy of IE 8
(32-bit) but get an installation error "Internet Explorer 8 is not supported
on this Operating System". I also get the same error when attempting to
install IE 7.
