I was wondering if this was possible. I want to receive the emails through 
Outlook, but I also want to keep them on the server for backups. For some 
reason when I check the "Leave a copy of messages on the server" Outlook 
stops receiving the emails. Can someone explain to me what's wrong?

I suspect you have posted this on the wrong newgroup.  Try the one which 
is dedicated to Outlook.
