Publisher 2003 Change date range and carry over special days
I want to change the date range on my publisher calendar to the next year,
however; the days I have marked as special days, i.e. Grandkids birthdays,
4th, of July, these are all lost when you change the date range. Do you know
how to make those special days carry over once the date range has been
changed to the new year?

Text wrapping difficulity
I am attempting to wrap text around a graphic, an oval. On the "outside" of
the oval is a picture that ends on the ovals left hand side. I want the text
to follow the "inside" (or right hand side) of the oval. I have edited the
text boxes' wrap points, that did nothing. I have grouped the three objects
(picture, graphic & text box) and brought the graphic to the front. That
didn't work. The text always runs through (on top of) the graphic and the
picture, or goes away completely.
Is there a solution? Thanks.

Printing A5/A6 Greeting Cards
I have recently installed Publisher 2007. Prior to this I was printing
greeting cards on A5 card which I then folded in half to A6 for the finished
product.
It was soooo easy on Publisher 2003 but can I find a way to do it now? Not
a chance and serious frustration has set in! I am still using exactly the
same printer HP Photosmart C4280.
Help, please, in 'idiot-proof' langage for this ageing non-techno.

Overlapping images creating distortion
Hi
I am trying to create an HTML flyer in publisher to email out to a mailing
list. All is ok until I try to add our company logo in the middle overlapping
two other images. When I preview it in Publisher it looks great but when I
email it, the logo and one of the images are changed and have a step in them.
Is there any way round this?

as an attachment.

Keep Lines Together; Keep with Next
I'm working in Vista. When I select lines and click on "Keep Lines
Together," the lines do not stay together. They stay together if I also
click "Keep with Next," but I'm working on a booklet in which the pages are
1/4 of a letter-sized page, and a lot of space (4 lines) is left at the
bottom and wasted if I also click "Keep with Next." Why won't "Keep Lines
Together" keep the lines together? The project is a small, bound country
club booklet, with names, addresses, phones, etc. Each entry might be 2, 3,
or 4 lines. Any help will be very much appreciated! (And yes, I've s

How does text overflow work on added pages?
I reduced the size of the text boxes on 30 existing pages and added 10
additional pages to hold the remainder of the text. How do I get the text to
overflow to these added pages?

how do I get a .gif to run in a publication.pub
I have a .gif (waving flag) that I want to wave in my .pub as a PDF.
Or I made it a web page publication and the .gif still does not wave.
I dont see an option.
If I were to insert an object (power point presentation), it still does not
wave.

Why is justified text alignment not working?
The justified text alignment is supposed to automatically left align the last
line of a paragraph. Why is it not working - stretching out the last line
when it should'nt be ?

How do I get a consistent justified text alignment?
Some paragraphs of justified text display different to others. Some display
very well whereas others stretch a few words out across a whole line and look
hideous. Why is it that it works nicely in some parts of the document and
not in others?

How to do a global search and replace of a font in a Pub 2003 file
I have a long document given to me with text boxes that were not created
using Font Schemes. Everywhere there is Times New Roman, I have to change it
to another font. This is so easy in Word, but I can't figure it out in
Publisher. Help!

footnote
When I import a Word file into Publisher 2003, any footnotes included in the
text are lost. I would greatly appreciate some help, and a solution if one

Help creating a recital program book/several pages w/pictures and
I am creating a recital program book. It will be a 8 1/2 x 11 book with
pictures, text and advertising and it will be in color. Over the years
others who have created this book have just simply used the "publications for
print" and other sources and the book hasn't been all that great (only the
pub for print pages were good). Since I will be working on it, I want it to
be great!
I was assuming when I began this project that there was something already
set up to help me create a multi-page book, but I am not finding it. I need
something that I can create similar to a yearbo

Linking to a page in seperate document
I have come a cross an issue. When adding a hyperlink in a publisher document
that links to a page in a pdf, you can not go back in to the hyperlink
because it will remove letters.
Example:
Http://mysite.com/file.pdf#page=5
becomes
Http://mysite.com/file.pdf#age=5
So for each time you look at the link in the Hyperlink editor it removes a
letter.
Anyone know of a solution to stop that?

Hello,
I have created a newsletter to send to my clients using Publisher 2007. I need
to insert a price list as a link within the body of the newsletter (NOT as an
email attachment) , for example:

I need to create a link from 'Click Here' to open the PDF file which will
display the price list. Is this possible?

I have a monthly newsletter that is created in two parts - the first half is

Printing as Book
On earlier versions of Publisher I could print a multipaged document as a
book and it would automatically print the pages in the correct order for
binding. I cannot find how to do this in Publisher 2007. Can anyone
advise please.

I am using the chain and pouring my story onto another page. I thought
Publisher [2003] would automatically write "continued on page x" in a
footer or at the end of the story and that is not happening. How do I

Cell borders - dashed lines, Publisher 2010
Hi,
In Publiser 2007 it was possible to have dashed or dotted lines as cell
borders. This was acheived by using a patern for the line colour, e.g. a
pattern of vertical lines would give a dotted horizontal cell border.
In Publisher 2010 the option to have a pattern for the line colour on a cell
border is no longer there.
Can anyone suggest a way to acheive dotted cell borders?
Microsoft - is there a reason this functionality was removed, can we have it
back please? Otherwise nice work, I'm hearing good feedback from the people
testing 2010.

Microsoft Publisher-MailMerge-Images
When I merge my addresses into Pubisher (I do a newsletter for my church) -
when i print ... the images on the document are horrible-distorted. It's
only when I do the mailmerge....I am printing on the best cannon HUGE printer
you can use... When i chose to not do mailmerge it prints fine....

Missing? features.
Hi, I've just been wading through the 2010 beta details, hoping to find the
following missing features are finally included.
1. the ability to import/merge publisher native files.
2. the ability to generate a table of contents/title index.
To my (very) simple mind the first is fundamental to any such product. If I
have a team working on large product, the need for all of them to access the
core file set is not only impractical but downright dangerous. They must be
able to work on and only on their assigned part of the project. These parts
are then compiled into the final product a

Publisher 2003 files save as Word
I recently installed Office 2003 (and sp 3) on a new laptop with Windows 7
x64. My Publisher docs are all saving as Word files. When I open them I get a
window full of gobbledygook that asks me to choose the encoding that makes
them readable. I have no idea what to choose, but there seems to be no
difference when I change it. This occurs on my old files as well as new ones
I try to create. I have tried un- and reinstalling Office '03 and have also
removed any hint of '07 that came installed on the machine. It's got to be
something simple I have overlooked....any ideas?

trying to learn how publisher works ...
I have the business hours sign. It prints on 8 x 11 paper. I want to change
to 13 inch wide paper ( epson r1900 printer ) and have the sign scale up to
fill the increased page size.
Can I do that with publisher?
