I have just switched from Project 2000 to 2007 standard, how do I email
resources with their tasks as in 2000?

Pete,
If you are using Project 2007 without Project Server I believe the workgroup
email feature is not supported.

You can use the File > Send to Resources (Schedule Note) option. I can't
remember how it worked in 2000, but that may be the same. It'll take a snapshot
of the relevant tasks and drop them into an e-mail for the specific resource.
