Editing Default Filters
I'm trying to edit a default filter on a report I've created and I need to
bring back records that fall between two dates chosen by the user.
The dates are from the same field e.g. Return all records with start dates
between dd/mm/yyyy and dd/mm/yyyy

Yes, you can.
For example, if you want to let users to to report on account created on
between dates, you can specify default filters as
"created on" "on or after" "Enter Value"
"created on" "on or before "Enter Value".

I love outlook, but I have a lot of "one day i should do this" type tasks
with no due date. they have no due date. when I sort by due date, I want
the things due today at the top, then the stuff due next week and eventually
all of my infinite due dates at the bottom. For some reason outlook has
decided that none is the highest/earliest possible date so whether I sort
ascending or descending, the things due today are in the middle.
I prioritize within my categories, so I don't want to just sort by priority

formula (in Date format). Example: User will enter a
date in cell A1. Cell A2 and below will be a sum(A1+1)

You can't do this with formatting, since, with no entry in A1,
(you don't need the wasteful SUM() wrapper) will = 1, not zero.

I am developing a spreadsheet to be distributed to numerous individuals for
updating and returned to me to be compiled. I have a column for account
number which consists of a 6-segment number, each segment separated by
hyphens. I need recipients to edit the middle two segments and return to me.
I want to create another column that duplicates the account number string
except for the middle two segments, and either highlight the segments to be
edited or mask the two segments to ensure correct number of digits are

I have an expression that works perfectly, (I got it here, I think), except
for one minor problem. I need the date to increase by one year, this year,
as of July 1 of this year. My professors don't get another year's experience
until they finish the second semester, on the fiscal year, July 1.

I am thinking of pre ordering Office 2010 Home and Business Edition to
replace my Office 2003. Will I be able to install it on my desktop and
laptop with the license that comes with 2010 or will I have to buy two
licenses? That would probably be a deal killer.

When editing formulas, either directly in cell or in the formula bar,
sometimes cell and range references appear in different colours whilst at
other times matching pairs of brackets are coloured. Both of these are
really useful features, but which is most useful depends on what I am trying
to do. I cannot work out how to control which type of feature is coloured.

I have the current script in place to format date fields from
mmddyyyy to mm/dd/yyyy. I am trying to reduce every possible keystroke
and this will eliminate 2. My issue is that CRM fires it's validity
check on the date field before the onchange event. Thus, it finds an
error in the date because it hasn't had a chance to format. Any

I have Microsoft My Money Standard Edition installed on my PC (WinXP).
It came as a part of Ms Works suite 2006. Now I would like to restore
the backup file to My Money 2004 editions. But there seems to be a
problem, My Money 2004 does not accept the backup files of the Standard
Edition. Is the anything I can do in order to make the transfer of the
backup file possible?

The version of Money in Works 2006 was likely newer than Money 2004. You
will need to use a version of Money at least as recent as that which was
used to make the backup.

I have noticed that my Outlook 2003 Autoarchive is not deleting my old
email. I have checked my global Autoarchive setting and it is turned on.
I have set folder specific Autoarchive settings. Most of these are to
operate on email older than 4 months, either sending it to the
Autoarchive .pst file, or deleting it. This is not happening; I have
email much older than a year.

that have been edited by other people.
The column will be mostly text, such as:
Sent to Smith for approval in September.
And somehow an error can get in there, going undetected
for awhile, which includes a cell reference, just as
Sent to Smith for approval in September+G123.
Can you think of a sequence of actions which could lead to
this? Some kind of automation? Or some kind of personal
options someone could have set?

When POS2009 1st came out, you could not create Inv. items with the same
Description & I had lots of those types of items (Books). I created a work
around by concatenating the Item description & the item # (e.g.
ITEM-123456789). Now with the service pack, you can create items with the
same description. So, I was wondering if there is a way to remove the item #,
everything after"-" “-123456789”.

So for month end adjusting entries for say June '08 your posting date
