Timesheet WebPart error an unexpected error has occurred

  • Follow

Currently using Project Server 2007 SP2 DEC CU

Have 1 user that is experiencing issues accessing their timesheet from the
MY Timesheet web part when they select a timesheet receive An unexpected
error has occurred. They currently have 2 timesheets in In Progress while the
remaining are Approved status. We are using tied-mode timesheets (JustOnce
Submit).
The user when logged in on another PC in PWA has the same result.

Note: We have also been experiencing Rejected timesheets providing the same
result, found that the users had a rejected timesheet and tried to delete a
rejected task and resubmit w/o Deleting the timesheet (found that the
comments were recorded 3 times for these problem timesheets in the DB, and
once the timesheet was deleted and created a new timesheet resolved the
issue.)

These are the users notes for what has transpired thus far:
I can get as far as the My Timesheets page without an issue (See screenshot
#1 below).
Initially my timesheet for this period was not created.
I initially tried to load last week's timesheet so I could make a change to
Friday's time and got the error. (See screenshot #2 below)
I then used a workaround that has worked to access problem timesheets in the
past, assuming the issue was something with last week's timesheet. To do
this I clicked the "My Work" link which took me to a page that allowed me to
choose between Timesheet, Tasks or Issues. (no screenshot, sorry)
I clicked the Timesheet option and was shown a page that said no timesheet
created for the current period, and previous / next period navigators.
I clicked the prior period navigator and was again presented with the error
page (screenshot #2 again)
I then returned the My Timesheets page without an issue and decided to
create the current time period timesheet. The timesheet was created but when
I attempted to view it I got the error again.
I then tried to go through the workaround again to try that again and got
the error right away upon clicking "My Work".
I tried to load various past timesheets and all of them cause the error.
I've logged out of my machine, restarted, cleared internet cache, cookies,
etc all to no avail the problem persists.
This morning I borrowed a coworker's machine who is able to access her
Timesheets and used the option to log in as another user to log into my PPM
account. The problem persisted on that machine for me. Therefore I can
conclude it is some sort of issue with my account/data that is not something
specific to my machine or apparently any particular time period.
The last time I successfully viewed a timesheet was when I submitted time
last week (2/11).
The only thing I am aware of changing since then would be project task
assignments and the fact that I entered a submission comment when I submitted
last week.

Has anyone had a similar issue as this? or any possible resolution?
