Export data from a MPP file to Project server
Does anyone know how to export the data from a MS project .mpp file into

The best way to do this is to connect to Project Server with Project
Professional and choose Tools > Enterprise Options > Import Project to
Enterprise
Follow the steps in the wizard.

Gary is quite right, though my preferred method is just to open it whilst
connected to Project Server (via the Open/file dialogue) and then Save As...
It saves it to the server and takes you through the same checks as the
wizard, but I've found this method quicker and I can script it in VBA for
migrations/bulk upload!

If you are a very skilled project server users, the task error checking in
the wizard is certainly less important, and if you don't have task-level
fields to map onto the enterprise, or calendar issues, then you can skip
this convenience as well. Otherwise, the import wizard can spare you lots of
trouble, even it is a slower, more methodical approach.
