Email Alert in Project Server Question.

I am using PS 2007 with SP1.

I understand that setting "No" in Published field in Project Professional to 
all the completed tasks will remove the Completed Tasks from "My Tasks" page 
of resources. 

Will it remove the tasks to be included in the "email alert" sent to the 
resources, everytime PM publishes the Project?

Any help will be appreciated.
