We are looking to upgrade our current PS2007 from 32bit to 64bit servers, mainly to increase performance as we have grown in use to the point where we are out growing our current processsing capacity. Hi when running Project Server 2003 PWA site in Internet Explorer 8 we are getting an error when i Project Center select a Project-->chose Edit --> make a change --> then when pressing save the error comes. we found a solution by downgrading Internet Explorer to version 7. Unable to log into project server

The company I work for uses Project Server 2003 and we use Windows Authentication to log into project. I have a user that was working fine last week but now he can't log in to project server. He receives an error message. Approved task update through PWA, does not update task in Project

My resource has submitted task progress updates through PWA. I review the % update and approve it. The overall task status in the Project Center does not change. That specific task which is now say 80% complete remains 0. If the recourse looks at their "My Task" view, the task sits at 80%. If I open MS Project (client) and look at the same task, the task has the newly changed progress to 80%. Any ideas?

Can a non-admin force the check in of one of their projects on Pro

Not sure whether this is a stupid question, but we are using impersonation to check out a project to a certain user. As the project is checked out in a different session, when the user is ready to work on the project they will need to force check in and then re-check out the project. Is this possible for a non-admin to do? And if so, how would we do this? We're using Project Server 2007

Hello, I installed the FEB2010 CU for Project Server 2007. before that we were on SP2 and the Dec. CU. It all seems fine, but when I found some inconsistancies when I try to validate the installation. I queried the published database's version table to check for the update, but it is not there, it only shows the my Dec and prior updates. This is a strange problem i am facing. One of the resources is having this problem. He has entered only 8 hours each in PWA for 2 weeks (80 hours). I have installed a Project server 2007 and created the project. Saved on the server. In PWA, I am unable to find my project. In my custom page, there are custom fields/dropdownlists with values. Applied Task Update Requests and Errors into project plan

Using MS Project Server 2007 and Timesheets. I have several task updates that were cancelled in the Queue. They now display in PWA Task Updates page in the Applied Requests and Errors view as "X" errors. each task is labeled as accepted by the PM. How do I get these to push into the project plan or back to the task updates page to re-approve? I tried using the Sync Protected Actuals feature in the plan, but nothing happen. -- Mike F

Actual Hours Appear in Timesheet without Being Entered by Resource

When resources create their timesheets actual hours are appearing in some instances. When viewing the MS Project file the actual hours appear there as well. Enterprise tags

In the Task Form a tag is showing up after the prodecessor and successor names. The tag is (enterprise). This isn't allowing me to use the pulldown and pick a task as a predecessor or successor. Where is the switch to delete this tag form each task?

We use PS07 and update our tasks daily via the My Tasks page and the Timephased view. The task updates are typically accepted everyday and the projects are published via the publish feature on the 'Applied Task Update Requests and Errors' page. Then we're seeing that hours submitted one day are not there the next day in the resources 'My Tasks' view, or they have moved to other days and have weird hours. Is anyone seeing future hours being entered into Project 2007 plans for tasks? Project managers review and accept resources’ tasks hours weekly. I have my projects task level capitalization defined w/ task level custom fields (cap/exp) and I have a resource custom field for labor (internal/external) I can define groupings within the usage views to see either of the two; however I need to go the extra step and build a view htat could show Cap and Exp data for both Internal and External resources. Duplicate Resources on 2007 Project Import from 2003 (with actuals

I am trying to use the project Import Wizard in migrating Project Server 2003 plans to Project Server 2007 plans. One big issue I am having, is that some of these plans have actuals and are in progress, and when I run the import, it is adding both the original resource 9from 2003 which is spelled first name, last name) as well as the new resource as it exists in 2007. I am a bit confused, since I am "mapping" the old resource on the plan to the 2007 enterprise resource when I go through the wizard. Migration works much smoother on plans with no actuals entered.
