and slide 2-10 has another slide master. Everyting happens when copying slide
5 and paste it next to slide 2), the formatting of the copied slide changes.
How can I work around the master formatting and keep the copied formatting?

I know that it is possible to hardwire the starting number of a list to a
particular slide. However, depending on the intended audience of the
slideshow, I may wish to remove various points from these lists.

to update automatically, without me manually having to go through and reset
the numbering "Start at" value for each individual slide?

new message, I get a selection of autocompleted nicknames as I type. If I

On the slide, if you insert (or draw) an object that is "above" the slide
number place, you won't see the slide number

I am attempting to paste an excel data table in a powerpoint slide but once
pasted, the data is cut off. If I double click and enter the excel data
table and resize the window from Powerpoint, the same data shown simply
stretches to the new size. I have tried numerous ways of pasting from the
excel sheet and it still acts the same. I tried a new workbook and was able
to resize correctly. But to recreate all of the data and formulas in a
different workbook would be difficult. Is there a setting or something in
excel that is not allowing me to resize this particular workbook?

Unfortunately there is no such feature in PowerPoint. You can simply insert
the current date using the header and footer dialog. That said maybe
something can be done using VBA. I'm sure someone will drop in to help you if
that is possible.

with a certain category (Bills : Student Loan Payment), this vendo
will NOT show when I go to Reports -> Business Reports -> Payables b
I tried for fun adding a new vendor with a category of "Equipmen

I have about 100 slides that need some sorting. I generally can
accomplish this in the normal viewer, by grabbing and moving the slides
in the left pane up or down. For some reason, the slides will not move
where intended. The horizontal bar which indicates the position of the
slide being moved, may not appear for intervals of 5-10 slides or
greater. Any ideas???
Hard to say why there's a problem. Have you tried moving a smaller
number of slides, maybe only one or two at a time? If that works it
suggests the may not be enough RAM to handle the larger task. Sorry I
