Slide master, changing formatting when copying a slide

  • Follow

I'm into a problem when copying a slide which has and predefined slide master
and paste it next to a different slide master (slide 1 has one slide master
and slide 2-10 has another slide master. Everyting happens when copying slide
5 and paste it next to slide 2), the formatting of the copied slide changes.
How can I work around the master formatting and keep the copied formatting?

What version of PowerPoint are you using?

In some versions, this is just the way it's supposed to work, although there are
(somewhat clumsy) workarounds. But since PPT 2002 or so, when you insert a
slide from another presentation or copy/paste it, you'll have the option of
keeping source formatting, which is what you want in this case.
