You would need to provide some details about the variable chunk, but

Are there better ways to do this?

I need to create bookmarks at various points in a spreadsheet to make it
faster to get around. does anyone know how to do it?
Naming cells is one way to do it.
Select the points on the worksheet (or workbook for that matter) where you
want the bookmark. Then click in the Name Box (the box to the left of the
Formula Bar) type in a name for your bookmark and hit enter.
Once you’ve built your bookmarks (as named cells) click the down pointing
arrow in the Name Box and select the bookmark to which you want to move.

your best bet is to have a formula such as =A1+1 in the cell A2, but you
would need to drag this formula down. If you don't want users to overtype
this, you'd need to lock it down and protect the sheet.

A few people have posted this problem. One of the solutions is that excel kept

You can add it as an IE Favorite with Group Policy. You can probably push
it onto people's Quick Launch bars with a little startup script. Adding it
to an Outlook toolbar for all users will be somewhat trickier I suspect.

In the past when I clicked on the button to start recording a macro, it used
to display a box that had the stop recording button and the relative
reference button. That no longer shows up. The only nuisance is that I
can't change the relative reference setting before I start recording. I can
stop recording with the menu.
Is there a way to get the box to show again -- or a way to change the
relative reference record method without the box and button?
I forgot to mention that I am using Excel 2000! Not sure if it matters.
