...Plotting a 3 D curve
i was wondering if there is any way to plot a 3D curve using excel.
basically i have a table (row and column) of values that i want to b
treated as one data series. excel seems to only accept data serie
either in row or column :(
z\x |0.5 0.6 0.7 0.8
0.5 | 1 2 3 4
0.6 | 2 3 4 5
0.7 | 3 4 5 6
0.8 | 4 5 6 7
the integers are the Y-axis value.
if i select 3D surface chart, excel just treat the table of values as
different series rather than one.
any help would be much appreciated.

...how to plot ONE x-y curve of two datas with different x values?
I have this data:
x: (1.1) (3.6) (6.0) (7.5) (9.2) ...
y: (4.2) (5.6) (6.3) (9.4) (9.6) ...

x: (2.3) (3.2) (5.4) (6.7) (7.2) ...
y: (1.2) (2.4) (3.3) (6.4) (8.9) ...
Now I want a x-y chart with a SINGLE smooth curve, showing the average
result of these two datas. By average, I mean that, suppose I have
two curves, I want a curve which is always in the middle of them.
As you can see, my problem is that the x data is not very regular, and
the x data of both datas usually do not coincide.

I'm trying to set the value of a text cell as the sum of the values in one

Occasionally, lines of text within a paragraph end up unevenly spaced (this
has happened in Word and in Publisher). I've checked to make sure the
defaults were set to even spacing (e.g., 1 space between lines) and they
were. What else can I do to fix this problem? As it stands right now, I
think the document looks somewhat sloppy because within just one paragraph I
think I have 3 differently-sized spaces between lines.
can anyone help me figure out how to do a formula in excel
where numbers aren't involved.
for example, i want to create a formula based on a text
string and the contents of two columns:
text string: "gv01"
column1: "AA" "AB" "AC", etc.
column2: "01" "02" "03", etc.
so, i want a resulting list to come out like:
row 1: gv01-AA-01
row 2: gv01-AB-02
row 3: gv01-AC-03
does that make sense?
any ideas on how to get that automated?
