I am trying to take a sentence and animate a word to fly in between two words already on screen. Would be great if I could create and effect that would fly the word in while pushing the other words apart so it can fit in the sentence. Is there a way to do this in PPT?

I've created a presentation to be a 'real-time' scoreboard for an upcoming community event. Two of the presentations have 4 slides, the third has 5 slides. All are on a continuous loop. One laptop is running the Presentation, and the other is for the scorekeeper to track results of the events. I've installed an add-in that does the updating each time the presentation loops. Templates

Can a template with graphics/pictures icon be created and saved with custom animations? The icon I am referring to is the one in several of the slides in the layout that allow you to click on to insert a photo and it automatically resizes the photo to fit. I also would like to place a stroke around these photos in the template. I can set up a template but when I do and try to switch out the photos the placeholders go back to where they originally were on the layout and no stroke. Also the custom animation is lost. HELP! Producer for Powerpoint

PowerPoint 2007, IE8. Windows 7 on one machine, Windows XP on the other. I've downloaded the latest version of Producer (just posted to fix a security hole). I've synchronized a 2007 presentation with a audio/.wmv file and it looks fine in preview. After I publish it, however, the autorun doesn't work nor does launching the default.htm. In most cases, I get a notice that about I need to use IE 5 or later and can only click OK to get the latest version (which I have) or cancel. Hi, I am using VBA in PowerPoint 2003. I'm new to VBA and I find that looking for informations about animation is quite difficult. When I want to know what informations to give when I want to insert a shape, it's quite easy because I can record a macro and then use this information. Play movie automatically when reenter slide

Dear all, I am using Microsoft Office 2003 on WinXP. I have a movie on each slide and each slide has a hiperlink to all the other slides. The presentation is designed for a touchscreen. When a certain slide is entered the first time, the movie plays automatically. However, if I jump to another slide and reenter the initial slide the movie will start only it is clicked. Is there a way to start the movie automatically after reentering the slide? Thank you!

Color Palette

I have done enough research on customizing hardcoded color palette in Powerpoint 2003 but alas failed to understand WHY would powerpoint have such a bug for so long. Our organization follow certain color themes for charts (which is close to 25 colors) and I do not want to see the boring default colors in Powerpoint charts. Now, those 8 dynamic colors arent much of help as those are DYNAMIC to begin with. I am really dejected as of now and would appreciate if someone can tell me a 'yes' instead of a 'no, you cannot' that I have been hearing. Probably, there has to be a programming/macro

I am not sure how many of us would have faced this problem, but I have an issue, rather a big issue, working with powerpoint 2003 and I need immediate resolution. The color palette that is provided as default in powerpoint 2003 is somehow hardcoded, it is only when you change the color filles for the chart that it changes the color... but it is applicable only to the current chart not to any new chart / slide (specially the chart fills). Shrink text on overflow does not work in 2007

I changed the master slide, reset the slideshow slides and the text still flows out of the placeholder. I looked at the master and slideshow slides and all have Shrink text on overflow checked. What am I missing? I need to set this up for a physician who does not have time to change the font on each slide. Any help is appreciated.

When I try to send my outline view to a PP presentation, it is not taking any of the body of the outline to the slides, just the headings. So, what I would expect to be about a 10 slide PP, actually turns out to be two pages.

Problem Inserting Images

Whenever I use Word or Powerpoint 2007, and I insert either a jpg or png, I get a line around the top and left side of my images. Like a border. This line sometimes prints, but it shows up online. It mostly happens after I will save the file or move throughout the document. I have no borders, no bevelled edges etc. I can't understand why this keeps happening?

Cannot read file with password

I've created a 2003 .ppt file, with a password. If you enter the password you can make edits. If you do not enter the pw, then the file opens in read-only mode. When another person on our network tries to open the file, they receive an error message...."Powerpoint can't read the outline from s:\directory\filename.ppt. No text converter is installed for this file type." When opening the file from my workstation, I get the prompt to enter a password and everything works as expected. Any help?

Random color changes

Does anyone know why a presentation (2007 saved in compatibilty mode) would suddenly begin to change line colors on shapes and in charts within the presentation. There are no links to anything outside of the presentation, the file is not shared. I opened it to make my monthly updates and the colors were changed from what I have had there for months. Hello, I have been at this for hours and hours and i still cant figure this out so any advice would be helpful. I am trying to create a hyperlink in Word 2007 (.docx) to a specific power point (.pptx) slide (slide 8 titled Award, to be exact). Changing space before and after paragraphs does nothing

I am using PP 2003. I am trying to format text in a text box within an existing presentation. I set the line spacing for the whole text box, and that works fine. However, changing the line spacing before and after parapraphs does absolutely nothing. I have checked to make sure that I have put hard returns in to separate paragraphs, not soft returns. This problem does not happen if I create a new presentation from scratch. Slides advance on mouse over - do not want

Hello There, I have a ppt presentation that I got from someone else. The use for this ppt is as a kiosk slide show. All the slides are set for advance on mouse click only. The problem is: If I select a slide from the main menu (the first slide in the ppt). it navigate to the slide indicated by the hyperlink on the main menu. This is good. But.... X in images or text boxes when printing

We have printed several large posters that have been made in Powerpoint. The finished posters are usually about 4ft x 3ft, and we save them as either ppt, pptx or pdf files. Unfortunately, several of our posters are marred by big crosses through the text boxes and/or images. We can't figure out why - it doesn't happen when they are printed on regular-sized paper, just on poster-sized paper. (Sounds like an issue with the printer?) PP 07 AutoShape tranperancy.

Using Power point 2007. How can I set the transparency for inserted AutoShape? I have 3 circles that overlay on top of each other. I want the part that overlay them to be about 50% transparent. the transparency shows when they hover over each other but. it is solid when I stop or print it. Clear Formatting Icon

I have a client who has a template with Arial 20 pt regular as the default font, with all the master text in Arial. When she clicks the clear formatting icon, the text changes to Helvetica, Grey, 36pt, bold. She checked the master slides to see if it was picking up Helvetica from any of the place holders there, but that's not the casse. Does anyone know where the Helvetica might be coming from? I am using PowerPoint 2010 to modify an existing PowerPoint show of 300 slides with photos and notes on each one. Is there a way to add text titles and subtitles from a Word outline document into placeholders on each slide without affecting the existing photos or notes? Zoom out and leave content in one corner of the slide in ppt?

Overall Table Width

I've noticed that ppt 2007 handles table widths differently than 2003. I'm hoping there's a setting someplace I can change. In 2003, if I've got my table set up as desired and add a column, the new column is 'appended' where I've asked and the total table is wider by x amount. In 2007, the table object does not increase in size but rather all columns are narrowed to accomodate the addition. Is there a default setting or option somewhere I can change? I do not want my table to 'autofit' so to speak, but leave my hight/width settings alone.

Displaying/converting a PowerPoint presentation.

My customers want to be able to display a PowerPoint presentation with having PowerPoint on the destination machine (the file get's distributed). So I'm looking at some way to convert the file to a different format that doesn't require PP. We don't want to have the customer have to do any kind of conversion so I'm looking to have them upload the file to our server and then do a conversion there. Any suggestions? I can't find any product that will convert to Flash or Video that I can run on a server - they all seem to be stand alone programs or PP add ins. TIA - Jeff.

Sound files intefere with slide transition

I have a PowerPoint presentation containing detailed animations, timing, slide transitions etc. The presentation runs smoothly, however when I add my sound file, the slide transitions do not operate. Each individual page and it's animations will work, but the slide transitions will not. I've tried everything I know to fix the issue and the only thing that seems to work is to remove the sound file. Music files using "Package for CD" Option in Powerpoint

I am trying to burn my show onto a disk, and the show has songs linked to it. I know the songs are not embedded into the show, so I was looking for a solution for this. I saw the "package for CD" option in the menu and according to that, it is supposed to take your show, and all linked files and burn it onto a disk to be played back using powerpoint viewer. I made sure the box was checked to include linked files. After the disk burned, no music.
