How do I create custom report from stored procedure

My stored procedure selects the data and inserts in temp table.I am executing stored procedure from pre query and selecting coloumns from temp table . But I am getting error Invalid object name temp. It's my understanding that RMS 1.3 is not PCI compliant because of the SQL database not being encrypted. Is that correct? Also, when the credit card information is submitted during the end-of-day processing, is the transmission of that data encrypted or is the data itself encrypted?

Receipts Have Too Many Blank Rows - Windows Generic Text Only Driv

I'm trying to tweak my XML file to eliminate a bunch of whitespace (blank rows) at the bottom (end) of my receipts. I'm using a generic / text-only driver because I'm running RMS over terminal server. (Yeah, I know that's not supported, but it works when I do a remote site sale.) The receipt itself is fairly compact. The header, the details, and the footer are contiguous. But I can't figure out why I get 8 inches of blank paper at the end of each receipt. I've had the page height at 11, at 1, & at 0. No change. Yes, I'm familiar with the way that one must reload the template

HQ Reinstall Store Database

Hello, Recently i reinstalled RMS at a store after a harddisk crash. Installed RMS and gave the store the same store ID as it had before the crash. Synchronised database. Everything is running, except the store started at a low batchnumber again. In HQ now my old batche in the batch table are being overwritten by the new ones with that same batchnumber. Redindexing Database Problem

When I try to Reindex the database I get the following error: "Error reindexing database -2147467259 An inconsistency was detected during an internal operation in database '****'(ID:6) on page (1:160999). Please contact technical support. reference number 7." Can anybody tell me exactly what this means and how I can fix this. Has anybody else ran into this problem? POS2009 Offline Service Unable to install

Hi, I have a MS POS 2009, using a register and a main computer where the database reside. I can connect the register to the main database with no problems. On the main computer, I activated the offline database. However when I run the offline wizard on the register, I keep getting the following error message: unable to install the Offline service. Sum of Cost in TransactionEntry table

I just need to verify this. I just discovered that if you Sum(Cost) in TransactionEntry table, it only sums up the cost of each item in each transaction. But if you sell qty of, say, 2 of the same item in a single transaction, the Cost column only shows the cost of 1 qty. Thus to get the right cost, you have to do Cost*Quantity. Is this right?

Cannot Connect to Database - OLE DB Session Object?

I am trying to create a column in a report that will give me the sum of the original retail price for all items on sale. I have tried Formula = ''where Item.SalePrice > 0, Item.Price * Item.Quantity" I get an error around the "where"...is there another way to say this? Formula = ''Item.Quantity*Item.SalePrice/Item.SalePrice*Item.Price" This would work except for the divide by 0 issue. Any ideas? Thanks!

POS 09 & Server 2008 R2 advice

I am looking @ upgrading my database PC & was considering Win server 2008r2 as the OS. Does anyone have any experience deploying POS 09 on R2? Would I see any performance benefits & what might be some of the obstacles I may run into with this setup? My other option is Win 7 Pro 64 bit on a PC with a Quad core or i7 & 8 gigs of ram. EDC Settlement Report - Incorrect Transaction Time Issue

We began processing with MercuryPay after moving from another processor. Now there is a time difference of 1 hour between the time printed on the credit card receipt and the transaction time that prints on the EDC Settlement report. The time printed on the EDC Settlement report is 1 hour later than the actual transaction time. Actual transaction time is Central Standard Time and the settlement report is Eastern Standard Time. Global Payments are processed in Eastern Standard Time, but I would think the RMS EDC reporting would be local to the server or the computer the report

Windows Server 2008 64bit with HQ Client

Anybody running RMS 2.0 HQ Client on a Windows Server 2008 64bit operating system succesfully? we are trying to get our server running, but we are getting an error that we are missing a file. 'c:\windows\system32\Richtx32.ocx' If you are running this same atmosphere, could I please get a copy of this file that our system is apparently missing? Posting credit to customer invoice

I am using RMS 2.0. I am trying to post a credit to a customer invoice and of the two options available, post a general credit to an account or to a specific invoice, only the first is available. The other option is dimmed. How can I get access to be able to post a credit directly to an invoice? I have searched in vain to find a switch to turn this option on. Thanks

Set Customer F7 Issues

I'm trying to setup customer id cards The cards would have a bar code and cashier would scan them. I have two problems i'm running into. 1. When cashier presses F7 and scans the card unless the focus is on "ACCOUNT" the software can select wrong customer. Also if the a item bar code is scanned or a wrong card is scanned t will select some account instead of prompting the cashier . The focus can be changed if manual customer look up by name is used . Customer Card | POS 2.0

We are currently using an IDtech OPOS and have developed customer cards. When trying to swipe the card in the 'Customer Number' box it gives us an error saying: 'Swiped data can't be entered in this field'. When we remove the OPOS drivers, it works but our credit cards do not work properly. When we swipe the same card in notepad it reads: 1000000383. Anyone know if this issue? Thank you

POS 2009 - Physical Inventory location

However, I nocited something odd when trying to do inventory. When performing a physical inventory on items in the 'All Locations' location everything works out ok. Scenario: I've created an inventory location called 'Safe' and transferred some of the stock out of the Available location to the that newly created 'safe' location. Let’s say I started off with 200 unites, and transferred 100 unites into the safe. RMS PO Window sizing, organization, label printing is (also) annoying (several suggestions made)

It never seems to fail that the PO window, whether in edit or receive mode is drawn poorly in terms of user need. Overall design is also sorely lacking, especially considering how much time Manager is used by retailers. For instance, the Item Description column is far too big for what RMS itself limits you to in terms of # of characters. The other columns are too wide also, which wastes prcious (PO window) space. The window itself is too narrow to accomodate all the columns, which is super annoying, plus there is no control over what columns do and don't display (boo!). And if y

POS 2009 Performance Issues

We have a system with 55,000 items in the database. We are seeing issues with performance with anything that pulls up the item list (ie. Item file definition, Item receipt, item search, etc). We also run into reports that will not run, it just returns a message that there are too many items for the report and you need to filter the list to a smaller selection. Is anyone else seeing performance issue with the system? We are in the process of building the databse of our other store with about 300,000 items. Tests show the performace will be unacceptable. runtime error 9

We are running a single lane RMS on an XP Pro SP3. Occassionally during a tender, we will receive the error message "runtime error '9'" subscript out of range This usually occurs when we tender out. At this point, we can exit the application and restart, but the problem will reoccur less frequently if we reboot the machine - obviously a hinderance during the day. Scale Issue with RMS

One of our clients, a grocery store, recently upgraded their lanes with new computers however, they kept their old scanner scales, MagellanSL 384s. All three terminals have the exact same desktops with the exact same software, however two of the scales work perfectly fine and one does not. The one scale that does not work, works perfectly fine in the OPOS software, everything weighs correctly, however weighing in RMS is off. Certain items are weighed correctly, however many are not. For instance, I weighed two items on a working scale and it said item A was 1.7 pounds, item B was 0.

Place Supplier on Hold / Inactive

Accounting has requested that we prevent stores from ordering from a certain group of suppliers. Is there a toggle to make a supplier in-active, where orders cannot be placed from them? The may be re-instated so I don't want to delete them.

database backup is slow

It seems as though recently, my database file backup has slowed down. The BCK file size is 145MB and the server has tons of room on the hard drive. I am running RMS 2.0 version 2.0.0.118 (SP 2 installed). Centralized PO's

I do most of my buying in a central location using MS RMS. I have a HQ server with 5 locations. When creating PO's with a vendor, we use a PO number which is unique to a store, date, and vendor. This is so that my stores, upon receiving a PO with above unique ID, can immediately idenify PO and receive accordingly. I use PO Planner to create PO's, however PO Planner sets the PO number automatically. I need to modify the PO number according the the centralized order. Any way to do this? Also, in a related question, is there any way to upload order information into HQ from a spread

RMS column sort is (to say the least) annoying

Microsoft Dynamics folks, Q: For the love of dog, why would anyone want to reverse the sorting of a column _yet have the highlighted row stay on "the same end" of the sort_? A: NOBODY EVER DOES. When you click on a column, to sort the highlighted row should jump "to the other side" of the sort, regardless of whether it was an A->Z or Z->A sort. Folks are looking for "the other side of the sort". Please fix this.
