Prevent images displaying inline in Outlook 2003/2007

  • Follow

Images that are embedded in an HTML formatted email display inline in
Outlook 2003 and do not appear in the attachment list. How do I prevent
this behaviour, if I cannot get the sender to send the emails as plain
text?

Please note, I'm not talking about preventing images in spam from
displaying from the web, but images that have been added as an
attachment (in this particular case using the built-in Mail program on
the Apple Mac) and are embedded in the email.

I understand in OE that it is possible to prevent this (usually
desirable) behaviour by adding a registry key to
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Identities\...guid...\Software\Microsoft\Outlook
Express\5.0. does anyone know of a similare option for Outlook
2003/2007?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
