Outlook send problem
I have a Toshiba Satellite laptop (bought in 2009) running Windows XP and
Office 2003. In Outlook, it keeps trying to "send" a message, even when
there is nothing in the Outbox. On a related note, it seems to have a hard
time sending emails that are actually there.
Any thoughts on the phantom send?

Perhaps a Read Receipt? The baulking is likely due to you having some
Anti-virus e-mail scanning Addin installed. If that is the case,
uninstall the A-V and reinstall with out the e-mail addin.

Kathleen,
Thanks for the tip. I went through the process to the point where there
should have been a read receipt in the folder, but there wasn't. So, I guess
I'll try the anti-virus suggestion next.
