Outlook 2007 Send/Receive Error message

  • Follow

Outlook 2007, OS Windows Xp.

I was getting an error message when I Send/Receive.
Error message "You don't have appropriate permission to
perform this operation"
But I already fixed that part, now I am getting this other message ONLY when
I click Send/Receive messages, not when I send a message.
Message: "Enter Network Password"
I already have it set up, but it wont work even if I enter the password.

"Task 'jnsrealty@bellsouth.net - Receiving' reported error (0x800CCC92) :
'Your e-mail server rejected your login. Verify your user name and password
in your account properties. Under Tools, click E-mail accounts. The server
responded: -ERR user password must be specified'

I created a new User Account and Outook runs fine on that other account.
Thanks for your help.

Remove the account from Outlook, restart Outlook and then add it again; does
it still happen now?

Are you using Microsoft Exchange Server 2000 to send/receive your emails?
If so then you need to install the service packs # 2 for Exchange server
2000 because this was a known issue and fixed by SP2.

Try this link here for all SPs:
