I keep getting the same certain emails sent to me repeatedly.
i am using outlook 2003. when i click send/receive, i keep getting the same
20 emails ( all 20 with photo attchments) sent to me repeatedly, even though
i have opened them numerous times. this does not happen when i receive emails
directly from the server.

What type of email account do you have?
What is "receive directly from the server"? Do you mean when you use a web
browser to read mail?
Are they legit mail or spam? How large?
Do you have outlook set to leave mail on the server or delete it after
downloading?
When this happens to legit mail, it means outlook is having problems marking
the mail as downloaded or deleting it from the server.

thanks for reply. i have 2 ways of accessing and sending my emails. one is by
going to the ISP site directly, and this is not causing me any problems at
all. But when i try to receive new emails through OUTLOOK, I click on the
send/ receive button , and i get the same emails coming thru, BUT I have
already opened these previously. These are legit emails with photo
attachments.
I do not know what the settings are... how do i check them???

Thank you for that suggestion, however, I had already found that page myself,
but decided all those options were too daunting to investigate myself. Was
really hoping someone more educated in these matters could help me sift
through it all, in a simplified manner... sorry, but thanks for your interest
in my problem. The fact that I can access emails with no problem at all when
I choose to do that by going directly to the internet server provider mailbox
page, but not so, when I try same with outlook 2003 program, does that help
to identify the specific reason at all????
