Using "Send To" from an application
What, if any, are the pros and cons of using the Send To / Mail Recipient (
As Attachment ) from an application such as Excel, as opposed to saving the
document and sending it as an attachment from Outlook ?
We have some users who send an Excel worksheet directly from the application
to a Distribution Group, and the time on their Outlook sent message does not
reflect the time that the recipient in Exchange receives it.
We are using Exchange 2003 and Office 2003

No, contact groups are not exportable. You'll need to make the groups in

Is there a way to mass import addresses into the GAL or a public folder. i

What exactly are you trying to do? Put contacts from a .pst into the Global
Address List? If so, the GAL is a view of mailboxes on the Exchange server.
What you may want to do is to create a public contacts folder where you can
drag and drop the selected contacts for access by your selected users.

I came across a link awhile back, but couldn't find it now. What I am

email comes in everyday from a vendor, with specific subject line and it
could come from different individual from the vendor, but obviously it

Yes, it is. But depending on what you want to do with the email, maybe it's
easier to use the rules wizard?

I am using Outlook 2000 with Exchange.
I need to retrieve all people from a particular "Member
Of" in the name properties.
There are many many names in the Global Address List, but
I don't see the group membership I want unless I double-
click on a name from the GAL and view the "Member Of" tab.
How can I refer to just that Member Of string I want?
I guess one way would be to cycle through all names in the
GAL and check the member of property and then pull out the
name, but how do I do that?

I have a customer who manages a small association of lawyers. The members
pay annual dues to support the association. My customer wants an application
that will let her keep track of who has paid their dues and who still owes
and will let her send an email reminder to those who have not paid. Up to
now she's been keeping an Excel spreadsheet of names and addresses,
importing the list of unpaid members into Outlook 2000's contacts and
creating a group. This is obviously kind of cumbersome. Is there another,
better way to do this?
