Outlook 2007 Reminders not working

  • Follow

I am running Outlook 2007 (Office 2007) on a new Widows 7 computer. Had some
problems with initial Outlook migration and PDA snyc, but those seem to be
resolved after I erased all historical calendar data and started new with
future appointments only on the PC and PDA both. Outlook syncs perfectly
with my PDA via Bluetooth, including reminders, which work normally on the
PDA, but no reminders appear in Outlook.

I'm aware of the change to keep the reminder screen out of sight (and out of
mind, an illogical change in my opinion) but even when I bring it forward on
the screen at a time when it should show a reminder, it is blank. Settings
are checked for both sound and visible reminder alerts, but neither are
operative.

Have you tried a Diagnostic Repair of Office.

I'm having basically the same problem only it's on my PC (I don't have a PDA
etc). I'm running Windows XP because I don't like Vista or Windows 7. I
have Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2007. I recently had to format and
reinstall all my software due to a disk failure. My reminders were working
but have quit. I've run the Diagnostic repair at least 5 times and it finds
no problems and does no good. I've tried the Work arounds on the website to
cleanreminders and resetfolders and neither one did any good. I've
uninstalled Outlook and reinstalled it and nothing changed. Is there
ANYTHING else that I can do. I've missed 3 regular appointments and a
doctor's appointment because I depend on the reminders and can't seem to get
used to the fact that they are not working.

Office 2007 Pro Plus is a volume (enterprise) license obtained through your
employer/school's home use program. Contact their IT support for assistance
as they are responsible for support.
