I just completed a clean install from Vista to 7. I copied my documents to
an external drive then installed them in the vista documents folder in 7.
Everything is there except my onenote mobile notes. The only version I have
is from a year ago. I have update the one note mobile notes almost daily. I
did a windows backup prior to the moves as well. The file on that backup is
also a year old. There has to be a folder somewhere that has been updating
the changes because I always had them every time I started onenote any ideas?
Thanks.

There is only *one* file for the "ON Mobile notes".
It has the name of the mobile device (f.e. "iPAQ.one").
The file is stored in the "OneNote Mobile" notebook which only hold this
one section.
So check the folder with your notebooks.
It will hold the looked for notebook with this one file (unless you
forgot to copy it to and/or from the external drive).

Thank you very much for the prompt reply.
The directory that you mentioned has the old version (almost one year old)
of the file. I made changes to the file two days ago. It is a file I change
almost every day on my laptop. Every time I opened OneNote, the mobile file
was there with all of my changes. My question is, where else could it have
been stored?
Thanks.
