Hi Stef:

The clue is in "... As soon as I open the document I have to work on..."

The document has a corruption in it.

Create a new document with a new file name, then:

1) Use File>Open from within Word

2) Change "Enable" to "recover text from any file"

3) Get the text out of the bad document and paste it into the new one.

Re-apply the styles to format the text.

Hope this helps
