On a Mac, how do you highlight an entire word or line the way you do on a pc?

I don't remember how to do it in Windows, and I can't say it is possible 
to do it on a Mac like you do in Windows (PC).

On a Mac, double click on the word. Get the line with a triple click.

To select the word just double left click the Word itself.  To select a sentence or sentences you can move your cursor to the left of the line until the cursor arrow takes a 45� slant and then left click, drag down to select as many lines as you want. <br><br>Shift + Cmd + right arrow will select the cursor to the end of that line - and ViceVera with the left arrow button.

Another one I forgot to say is a triple (3) left click within a paragraph will highlight that paragraph, I am sure there are more but that should start you off <br><br>Alan

Most techniques are identical:

Double-Click a word to select it,
Click in the left margin adjacent to a line to select it,
Command+Click a sentence to select it,
Triple-Click a paragraph to select it, etc., etc., etc.

Have a look in Word Help for the topic: Word Keyboard Shortcuts...
Especially the subtopics pertaining to "Selecting text & graphics" &
"Extending a selection".
