Edit Header/Footer in Publishing Layout
Version: 2008
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: Intel
In my newsletter, I cannot edit the header/footer of my document. Under Insert -> Auto Text, I find Header/footer here, but it is grayed out and non-selectable. <br><br>Please advise as I'd like to remove the placeholder text that's there with actual information. <br><br>Thanks! <br>

It sounds like you're using Publishing Layout. If so, those features are not
available in that view, as is the case with many of Word's capabilities. In
order to access that content you'll have to go to the corresponding Master
Page using the tab at the lower right of the window.
