My wife and I have separate identities/accounts on our iMac. We're running
Mac os x 10.6 (Snow Leopard) and the Entourage version is 12.2.3
Here's the mystery: My wife cannot open attachments - I've checked both .doc
and .pdf formats. She gets an error message to the effect that the filed is
damaged or that it cannot be opened. I've tried using both Preview and Adobe
Reader 9 on the .pdf files.
But if I'm logged in to the iMac I can open an read attachments.
Any ideas about what's causing this and what I could do to fix it? I've
already tried running the database utility and creating a new identity for
my wife.
Suggestions?

Look at the yellow bar at the top of her messages. Does she see a link
to download the complete message? If so, she'll need to click it first
so that she's trying to open the complete document and not a partial
document.
Hope this helps!

My wife says "Thank you!" (and so do I)
