How to zero or delete transactions of purchases, sales and invento

  • Follow

We've testing different configurations with a company data and have reach the
configuration we want (that is master files and thiers classes, etc.). The
problem is that the same company data has been entering purchases, checks,
sales and inventory transactions.

We would like to zero or clean only the transactions (purchase, sales,
inventory) so we can us the company setup & master files to start operation;
otherwise, we would have to start a new company and start entering all setup
from start.

Get Help.

Yes, this can be done. I have done exactly this. But you need to know
exactly which tables are Work, Open, and History and not setup or
configuration. There are rules but only loosly followed.

Generally 10000 tables are work (unposted transactions), 20000 are open
(like open receivables), 30000 are history (posted, paid out, et cetera)

BUT be careful. Remember, I said GENERALLY. You could accidentially delete
data you want.

Get Help from someone that knows the tables.

Thanx for the info. I'm in that process, getting help; the newsgroup is one
of them. Is there any docs that may explain a bit more?

Rico,

Check Victoria Yudin's blog. She has a very nice listing of tables and
fields in each of the modules here - http://victoriayudin.com/gp-reports/inventory-tables/

I found an automated solutions "CopyCompany10_v2.msi". Has any of you guys
worked with this? Can I use this to just pass Setup and Master, no
transactions?
