Great Plains doesn't use the recovery model from the Model databas

  • Follow

Does anyone know reason why Great Plains doesn't use the Model database to
set the recovery model appropriately?
I have tested this with both GPv9 and SQL2000, then with GPv10 and SQL2005
and SQL2008. Everytime i create a new company the recovery model is set to
simple, but my Model database has its recovery model set to Full. I am
looking for a solution that will work on future companies that get created.

GP was not developed to use the Model database. GP has its own routines for
creating a company utilizing GP Utilities.
