I have completed the service pack upgrading from GP 10.0 SP2 to SP4 on
Windows Server 2003 (32bit) standard edition.

During the upgrading there is no any error prompted, and everything is
going smoothly, but until the completed, it will run the GP Utility
and prompt to upgrade any forms/reports, but this server do not have
any customized form or reports. so, I select to launch the GP, proceed
to logon as usual then right after I have selected the company, it
prompted error related to the database version is different than GP
version.

Suspect the last GP Utility did not perform it job to upgrade the SQL
database and nothing is prompted whether it has skipped this steps.

Another suspect is the SQL Collation does not work well for the
upgrading.

I wondering whether SQL server 64-bit will affect the database
upgrading ?

NOTE: the GP application server is not installed in the same database
server (SQL server is at remote location).

Please advise.

Hi,
According to your statement at the end, the upgrade was applied to the
client of GP, but not on the Database itself.... You have to apply the
SP4 upgrade first on the DB server in order to upgrade all the tables
and procedures in the various company DB's and DYNAMICS DB.
Your second pictures show clearly a mismatch between your client and the
DB version...

Hope this helps,

My main concern is that I need to know why the last SP2 upgraded to
SP4 for GP application is successful, but the SQL database is not
upgraded at the same time. Please advise. Many thanks in advance.
