I have just installed extender in Dynamics GP10 and as I started playing with
it, I noticed that when I create a new resource, I am unable to add it to
security. The instructions say that I should click on the desired resource,
then click Additional Options button and say add to Security Task. However,
the only options that appear are Edit All records and Templates. Why would
this option be missing and is there another way that I can add security for
this resource to individual users? Only the SA and power user are able to
presently see it.
Oh, and we did not receive any error in the install.

Karlie,
Make sure you have the selected Security Task open, then select
"Additional", the resource is located under the Security Task, and not the
Extender product.

Mick,
I have the the Security Task Setup window open and there is no "Additional"
in the toolbar. If I add an extender note and I try to give security to a
user just for that extender resource (Product: Extender, Type:Extender
Resources, Series: Notes), it lets them open the notes screen, but not
actually add a note. What security would they need in order to do this?

Karlie,
Open the Task ID that will be attached to the Security Role, Product >>
Extender >> Type: Windows >> Series: System, select "Add/Edit Note", if the
User can see the Note Window, then you need to add this Operation to allow
Edit.
Cheers,
Mick
