Drawing vertical lines - printing

  • Follow

On an invoice, I added a column and used line drawing tool to put in
veritical line. Set line properties (size, color, etc.) to exactly like other
lines on report. Matched other vertical lines exactly in length and top to
bottom postitions. I tried changing the send to front, send to back settings,
but I still cannot get this one vertical line to print. Any suggestions?

Thanks.

If I am to troubleshoot your issue, I would do the following:

put a static text 'xxxxx' beside the line I added. go back to GP and print
the report. If the report didn't show the xxxxx then it might be a security
issue. however, if the xxxxx showed up, then it is possible that the line was
not properly placed.

can you tell us the name of the report? maybe you just need to just make the
line short to fit in the body section of the report layout.

Not a security issue, other mods to report are showing up fine. It is SOP
blank historical invoice.

I tried adding a line to that report and you are correct. adding one straight
line from top to bottom will not work.

You will have to add two vertical lines overlapping each other to create one
straight line. try clicking on any existing vertical line. you'll see it's
made up of two lines. Just imitate what they are and you should be good.

Hope this helps.
