Exchange 2003: Force distribution list to send out emails from distribution list address?

Hi

As mentioned in subject...is there any way to force distribution list to send out e-mails from distribution list address "on behalf" user email. (like for example googlegroups is working atm).

We are having problems with few lists that has external members in it because "externalserver" is denying "external.com" emails from other servers than "externalserver".
