The formula showing in the cell rather than answer for formula. 
I use Excel 2003. 

Just one of many formulas is showing?

Re-format the cell from Text to General then F2 and Enter.

All formulas are showing?

Hit CTRL + `(backquote above Tab key to toggle out of formula view.
