excel 2003 scrollbar disappears
hello, i'm new, so forgive any improprieties,
anyway, i have a user using office 2003 (the first at my company) and
on one of his spreadsheets, sometimes the horizontal scrollbar
disappears. i have since installed office 2003 on a test machine to
see if i can reproduce the error, and haven't been able to yet.
it seems to happen when he inserts a couple of jpegs into the
sreadsheet, but i've tried with a copy of the file that he gave me and
no disappearing bar yet. the jpegs are around 200k in size, pictures
of a web page, and taller than the screen fits, if that's importa...3D Chart Resize
I created a 3D chart and I would like to make it longer (on the horizontal
axis) without increasing all the white space. In other words, I want to make
the space that contains the columns longer. I don't want to make the whole
chart box bigger, just the data series area. Do you know how I could do that?

3D charts have less flexibility in resizing the Plot Area.
With the chart selected and the Chart toolbar displayed open the Object
dropdown on the Chart toolbar, the first tool, and choose Plot Area, then use
the resizing handles.

I have an ordinary workbook, that I use often. Today it is freezing my
computer. I have tried opening from within XL, which is working finewith all

When I transfer a large excel spreed sheet not all the file will transfer
over. I thought that it might be related to the size of the memory however it
will not copy directly on to a 1 gig memory card either.

I am using in excel 2007 some charts developed in 2003 version; they are
positioned in a single chart sheet (used..location ..option); at the first
opening in 2007 I observed they were all contracted in size, and some of them
missing (or too small to be found even at 400% zoom); after re-arranging,
tried to fix their dimensions using "lock aspect" (looked around for another
option but didn't find); finally, charts seems to be on their own, as their
size is shrinking even while working in another sheet!

A Comment is attached to a specific cell & only displays on the sheet which

I have tried to use 2 axis within a pivot report however you are unable to
say use a scatter graph? I have 2 sets of results against row. Some of these
results are positive some negative I need to see all positive in the centre

I am using Excel 2003, and I have three columns of data. Some of the
records of each of the three columns (a) have spaces between them and (b)
Is there a way to pull out the spaces (i.e. the blank records) and eliminate
the duplicate records?
In an attempt to filter out the duplicates, I went to Data...Advanced Sort
and checked the box "Unique records only". But, that was not correct. Some
duplicates and at least one blank record remained.

Au...Customize Legends in a Chart
I am not having any luck getting my legend customized. The basic problem is
that my source for the chart is a peice from my main table. The field name
is "Past Due", with a Data Type of Yes/No. This does not translate well to a
chart legend. The chart itself works very well but the legend shows the
primary color and then a label of either 0 or negative 1.
I setup my own legend using the draw tool bar with some text boxs and
colored squares. That works well until the color associated with either yes

OK, I downloaded and installed M2007.
When I go to display the scheduled Bills, I get an error message that the
program has to shut down.
I did both the quick repair and the standard (level 2) repair.
I tried to do the Remove all Bills feature, but received a message that I
should first cancel the Apays. Obviously, since I can't get at that section of
the program, I can't cancel the Apays. (I have four Apays).
I have reinstalled 2003 and could cancel the Apays there, and then go back and
reinstall 2007, and try the remove all Bills feature, but wanted to check here
