Crystal Reports and 64 bit

Hi, First I want to apology if this is not the right place to ask. Please advice me where to move my question if this group is not the appropriate place. I've a .net 2.0 Windows Forms application that uses some COM components that are for 32bit only so I've set my target cpu to x86. My application uses also Crystal reports. My question is which version of the crystal reports redistributable should I use for 64 bit Windows installations - the 32, 64bit or maybe both? Thanks in advance.

How can I set the From, Subject, To properties of Outlook MSG files to display in a manner as EML files? I have folders of thousands of these files and would love to create a batch processors to do this. Wireless Mouse 4000 - system resume trackwheel problem

I have a Microsoft Wireless Optical Mouse 4000, which works fine when the computer starts from a full shutdown or restart. However, when resuming from hibernate or sleep, the trackwheel performance is greatly reduced. It takes about 10x the number of scrolls to achieve what 1 scroll would take under normal conditions. Alt+Tab Not Showing Correct Icon

All, I have created an app. I have created an icon1.ico for my app, both a 16x16 and a 32x32 version. I have placed a NotifyIcon control on my frmMain and indicated that the icon is icon1. When I minimize frmMain (the entire app), icon1 appears in the notification area. I have indicated that icon.ico is the icon for frmMain. When I minimize frmMain (the entire app), icon1 DOES NOT appear when I use Alt-Tab - the standard VB icon does. Any idea why and how I fix this, or explicitly state what it should be in code? Using Uninstalled Fonts in Windows 7

In prior versions of Windows OS (XP, Vista) I was able to use uninstalled fonts with programs by simply opening the font and minimizing it to the Task Bar. The font would then be shown in the list of fonts available for use. This is an extremely helpful option so that it is not necessary to install an excessive number of fonts to the Windows>System>Fonts. It also made it unnecessary to use a font manager. Visual Studio Deployment Project - AppData issue

Tribe, I have a .NET setup and deployment project which writes to the Users's Application Data Folder. I've got about 20 folders that I want to place here. Some of them contain files I want every user to have. I can build the project, create the MSI and install the app just fine. But when I got to run it, and the /AppData/Roaming/[productname]/ directory is created - NONE of the folders with files in them get created. In addition, I've noticed that in the /AppData/Roaming/ directory, after installation my folders which contain files are installed here - Surprise Surprise

Windows 7 acttivation problem

Hi I have enterprise licence for W7 and I received DVD with W7 pro. I've installed it on PC without being asked for any key. Now I can't activate because W7 searchs for KMS server but I need to use key which I have but it is for MAK, shouldn't hard to do but W7 doesn't let me change key for MAK - any ideas how to activate it or change with success windows key? any help will be very nice.

User Name&Password keep prompting when access network via domain n

Dear All, Anyone can help me? I have been trying to access one of our server \\myserver. It keep telling me to input my network id and password. I have already tried to do the command "ipconfig\flushdns" and "ipconfig\registerdns" and also hardcode the our server name with the correct ip address in C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\host file. SQL Compact 3.5 missing in VS2008proSP1

Hi, I have just tried to install / uninstall / re-install / repair SQL Server compact edition into my VS 2008 Pro SP1 My SQL Server works fine, However the compact edition does not seem to show in the datasource options at all. As a result, when I go and add a 'local database' I get an error. I have searched the net and can't seem to find a soltuion ( still searching ). Any help would be appreciated. Cheers' Miro

users folders in windows 7

We are in the process of upgrading to windows 7 and have come across a strange issue. We had an issue with someone's user profile so we tried to rename it and have the user log back in. At this time, a temp profile was created. The problem did not correct, so we moved all important information and deleted the user account. When the person logged back in, another temp folder was created. Has anyone run into this issue/problem yet?

Removing color red from screen

Hi, I am supposed to write an application using .NET 2.0 but have to guarantee that the application will never show something using the color red or some similiar color (Red = life threatening) since a failure of my application will be never life threatening. I can actually control messageboxes in my application or unhandeld exception of my application, but I can't control errors shown by .NET while loading my application. error doing the same thing from a different project

In VS2005 I have multi-project solution with mostly C# projects but one VB project to provide a COM wrapper. Two of the projects use an external set of DLLs to create a report, using report definition data taken from an SQL Server. One of the projects creates the report just fine, but the other project errors out when trying to do the same thing. I have checked that the projects are referencing the same versions of all the DLLs and they appear to be identical. What could be the cause of this problem?

Can't print from Win 7 Pro Virtual PC

Purchased Dell 1764 Inspiron laptop with Win 7 Home Premium - upgraded to Win 7 Professional in order to get XP mode as my Lexmark C500 colour laser printer is not supported by Lexmark which means they do not have a driver for my C500 which is not supported. Was able to install the printer and driver on the Virtual PC. Can do a print preview, able to see printer configuration but when I try to print something, the printing is sent to the printer but nothing is printed. Help! -- Pierre

"Open" tab does not function

Why does my delete routine cause 2 rows to be removed from my DataGridView?

My C: drive on my server is getting full too fast. The User profiles are stored on this drive, and use a lot of memory. I have another partition with excess memory. Is it possible to move these profiles to the other partition, and have all new profiles be created in that partition?

Providing files to other applications

Hello, We need to provide files to other applications. To simplify the case, we have some background data storage (databases etc.) which contains files. Users can up- and download files through our .NET application. Now we want to give them the ability to open those files directly from inside our application (like if you click on mail-attachments in outlook), but we want to be able to write back the changes when the user modifies and saves the file in the application.
