I posted this earlier looking for some help. I am updating my request for help.
http://www.microsoft.com/communities/newsgroups/en-us/default.aspx?dg=microsoft.public.dataprotectionmanager&tid=e20cf4d0-6b3b-4375-833c-2fadbbf233e4&cat=en_US_c18d9b67-8a4f-493f-99fa-246042fd5824&lang=en&cr=US&sloc=&p=1
After migrating to a newer DPM server, I cannot reuse any of my tapes. When
I run the force tape free script, I get the following error message after it
expires the data on the tape:
PS C:\users\Administrator\Desktop> .\ForceTapeFree.ps1
DPM server name: : dpmsrv02
Library name: : HP StorageWorks MSL6000 Series Medium Changers
Tape location: : slot-1
Set-Tape : The tape belongs to another DPM server (ID: 24003)
At C:\users\Administrator\Desktop\ForceTapeFree.ps1:72 char:21
+ Set-Tape <<<< -Tape $media -Free
+ CategoryInfo : NotSpecified: (:) [Set-Tape], DlsException
+ FullyQualifiedErrorId : 24003,Microsoft.Internal.EnterpriseStorage.Dls.U
I.Cmdlet.MarkMedia
The tape will then show up in the list as expired, but all options to mark
the tape free or erase tape is greyed out. I can recatalog the tape and then
the tape will not show as expired. I can view the data on the tape.
