Exchange Backup Failing
Backup of two Information Stores continually fails with the following error
message:
Affected area: support
Occurred since: 12/22/2009 4:09:21 PM
Description: The replica of Storage group support on
<ServerName>.<domain>.com is inconsistent with the protected data source. All
protection activities for data source will fail until the replica is
synchronized with consistency check. You can recover data from existing
recovery points, but new recovery points cannot be created until the replica
is consistent (ID 3106)
DPM encountered an error while performing an operation for
\\?\GLOBALROOT\Device\HarddiskVolumeShadowCopy393\Exchsvr\MdbData\support\Support
(<ServerName>)\Support.edb (ID 2033 Details: Insufficient system resources
exist to complete the requested service (0x800705AA))
Recommended action:
1) Refer to the detailed error code in the description above. Retry this
operation after the issue has been fixed.
2) If the error was due to insufficient resources, then it could be a
transient failure and you should retry this operation after some time.
Synchronize with consistency check.
Run a synchronization job with consistency check...
Resolution: To dismiss the alert, click below
Inactivate alert
We tried deleting the protection group (but not the data). Created a new
protection group and tried to start over. Same problem.
Thanks.

Hi Lee
Check three things:
1) Whats the size of the replica volume and the recovery poit volume?
2) What does the detailed error report say?
3) Try to do a "Create a revocerypoint" of the Exchange store, (this wont
work if
the store is inconsitent with the DPM server)
Best Regards

Hi Lee,
Are there any successful backups at all? What is the size of edb file
Support.edb?
Is eseutil validation enabled for the protection group?
