DPM transaction logs truncation on SQL Server Subscribe

Hi

I use DPM for backup my SQL Server 2005 and MS Exchange 2007.

When implementing backup Exchange transaction logs is truncated, but when
SQL Server is not happening and I have to delete logs manually. Why?
How do I configure DPM, to SQL logs were cut, too?

Hi,

Have you scheduled to take incremental backups for the SQL Server databases?
Express full backups do not truncate logs. Incremental backups which are
infact log backups truncate logs.

Hitesh,

Thank you for your response as this also answers my question. I have a
follow-up question. Does this mean that a new DMP log file is created after
each DPM log backup or does this work like the express full backups and just
look at byte level changes?

I have DPM 2010 RC setup backing up SQL Server 2005, as you have suggested,
with Synchronization taking place every 45 minutes and the express full
backup once a day.

The problem is that the transaction logs are not being truncated.

Any suggestions?

This is a fresh load of DPM 2010 RC on Server 2008 R2 Standard x64.
