DPM 2010 standalone tape drives

  • Follow

I have a two drive seagate dat72 device that I am trying to configure
to span both drives for a protection group.
I think that the problem is that they are seen as two seperate
libraries (standalone drives)

Is there any way to span these two devices with a single protection
group?

Thanks,

DPM 2010

Can you please check if media changer is enabled in devmgmt.msc on
the DPM machine. If its enabled then you can remap the tape drives into a
library using the following steps:
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb795782.aspx. Spanning a
protection group to multiple tape drives is not supported.
