DPM 2010 Scheduled Jobs not executing

  • Follow

I am running DPM 2010 Beta 1 in our test environment to protect Hyper-V R2
Cluster, Hyper-V VMs, Exchange 2010, and Win Server 2008 R2 System States.
There are multiple protection groups. The scheduled jobs to perform
synchronization and create recovery points are not running. The jobs can be
seen in Monitoring | Today's jobs but they simply disappear and not run at
the scheduled time. Nothing is shown in the DPM App Event log. I can create
recovery points manually.

Not sure why the scheduled jobs not executing...

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi Arif,

Under which account are SQL services used by DPM running. Is DPM installed
using an existing SQL instance or instance installed by DPM.

Thanks

can you pleas tell us the following details:
DPM and SQL are on same server.
Under what account are SQL services(Server and agent) running
Did you let DPM setup install the SQL or you installed the SQL outside
DPM setup.

Hi Venkata and Nutesh,
The DPM services on DPM Server are running as Local System.
The DPM Client service on protected machines is also running as Local System.
The SQL Server 2008 is installed locally on DPM Server. It is installed
outside of the DPM Installation.

DPM and SQL are on the same server.
SQL Services are running as a Domain Account
SQL 2008 is installed outside the DPM setup

Nop. No Service Accounts or SQL configuration change has been done. The
scheduled jobs have never run.
