DPM 2010 RC fresh Install MMC Crashing - microsoft.public.dataprotectionmanager

Just installed 2010 RC, and was migrating agents over. Created a second protection group and the mmc crashed. now its continually crashing with the following error: Unhandled exception has occurred in a component in your application. If you click Continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. Object reference not set to an instance of an object. Once you repro it can you please pass the logs present in DPMInstallDIR\temp\*crash* and DPMInstallDIR\temp\*curr* to praveend[at]microsoft[dot]com. Thanks for your feedback. Your solution is to rename file is temporary. You will face the issue again when Agent refresh runs or datasource enumeration runs. Issue is, you have a SQL data source or data sources on one of the target servers without having any files mapped to it. Fix is to add a file to offending datasources and from DPM console, go to create protection group and query for datasources. This query will refresh the datasources list in DPMDB. Yea it was looking fine initially but the MMC just crashes further in instead on instantly upon opening. I'm not sure if the solution would work. Jason, If this has happened when you have last protected SQL datasource, then it’s a known issue. Its happening because the last protected SQL machine has database name with a space at the end of the database name. Please remove the space in the SQL database name using the SQL administrator console on the last protected computer. To fix the DPM crash can you please send email at praveend at microsofot dot com I can share you script to fix this crash issue on the DPM server.
