DPM 2007 attempting to cancel job

  • Follow

Hello
for an unknown and mysterious reason, I have 90 Consistency Check jobs in
progress for my Exchange data. Several jobs are in progress since 12 hours,
other ones since 24 hours, a few since 48 hours ! I tried to cancel these
jobs, but now all jobs are in status "attempting to cancel" and nothing
happens. I rebooted the server, but no change, all jobs are still there in
status "attempting to cancel".
Any hint would be welcome

Well, let me answer to my question:
one of the servers of the cluster did not respond, so DPM did not work at
all with the cluster ! We restarted the server, and I could restart all
synchronizations and consistency checks !
I hope that DPM 2010 will cause less problems than the 2007 version...

Hi,

What is the OS on DPM server? and DPM version?

Can you please collect MSDPM dump from taskmanager and logs from
"%SystemDrive%"\Microsoft DPM\DPM\Temp\ and mail to
anuraga@microsoft[DOT]dom

Thanks
Anurag [MSFT]

Thank you Anurag for being ready to help me, but I just discovered where the
problem was, see my previous post.
