Windows Vista and Outlook Client

  • Follow

Hello everybody
We just upgraded to Windows Vista and are using Outlook 2003 SP2. When we
were running XP on the machine, we installed the Desktop Client for Outlook
and everything was running fine. Right now, when we open Outlook we get the
message "An error occurred loading Microsoft CRM functionality. Try
restarting Microsoft Outlook. Contact your system administrator if errors
persist."
How do we solve this? Hopefully it won't have anything to do with us using
Outlook 2003 and not 2007, we don't want to upgrade it right now unless it is
completely necessary.
Thank you,
S.R.

I just downloaded the CRM_V3C_CLIENT image from here
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=7d418781-69ad-422d-92fa-87fdb2538e2c&DisplayLang=en
However, I get an error during the installation saying that the installer
could not find the License Agreement, and another one with code 2803 but I
assume they are the same.
Any ideas?
Thanks

I am pretty sure that is what I downloaded...the disc image. I tried using a
drive emulator, but I get the error I wrote about in my second post: "Failed
to open the license agreement file. For additional details see logfile
C;\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\MSCRM\Logs\crm30clientsetup.log"
Should I try burning the image to a disc? any other ideas what is going on?
Thanks,
S.R.

I burned the image to a disc, it looks like it works now...I will repost if
anything goes wrong.
Thanks,
S.R.

Success, the Client for Outlook works now. I burned the image to a CD and the
setup ran correctly. Now when I open Outlook, I no longer get an error.
Thanks,
S.R.
