Has anyone come up with a resolution to system settings not being saved?
I've tried running the SBE Config Wizard, I've tried lowering my IE Security
Settings. I've even had a poke at the registry to see if there was anything
obvious in there. I've done fresh installs with eval and valid licence
keys....in short I've tried evertything I can think of short of facing the
wind from when it blows from the east, and casting dry chicken bones in the
hope of a positive outcome.
Any help or suggestions will be gratefully accepted.
Thanks
John

If you are talking about using the "System Settings Dialog" via the Web
application; making a change; hitting "OK" and then loading the dialog back
up only to find the settings not saved... then I have seen this bug before.
It was a while ago on the TAP3 build and it seemed to go away. I will also
say that it only happened on some machines and not others.
Here are somethings to try (since I modal dialogs can be funny and caching):
- Clear your IE cache and close down all instances of IE
- Go to: Internet Options | General | Settings and say "Every visit to the
page"
- Try accessing the settings page from a different machine
- Make sure that "Display a notification about every script error" is on
under "Advanced" in the IE Options page.

On pre-RTM builds if there were issues with the Reporting Server system
settings could not be saved. You want to make sure that your Reporting Server
is correctly setup.
Also, on pre-RTM builds there were issues with Domain User installs (not
network service) where system settings can not be saved. You could work
around this by reinstalling with network service.
Both of the issues have been fixed in the released version of Microsoft CRM
3.0
