Duplicate acccounts, contacts, and leads

Can CRM detect duplicate entries such as a pop up window with a message like
"CRM detected a possible duplicate for this record, do you want to continue
still?". I used to use Sales Force and it had an option button to check for
duplicates when converting a lead.

I am using versin 3.0 and I don't see this option. Can this be added in next
version?

Thank you,

Joy

In the standard system CRM does not detect duplicates. You can either build
your own solution or buy one from an ISV. C360 has a duplicate check module
